My review wont do justice on how amazing this small town outside of Monterrey truly is. My GF and i decided to visit santiago on a monday afternoon which was great because the town was empty (heads up Santiago is beyond packed on the weekends especially on sundays), we ate at the las palomas restaurant, we got sat in the... So if you want a quick get away from the crowded city and want to feel the vibe of the people, you have to go to Santiago. It's called a pueblo magico because the government has invested a lot of money in it to make it very touristy-like, thus giving the people there jobs and a way to earn their... More

Quaint old restaurants and shops with a relaxed peaceful reflection of old Mexico. A beautiful old church and traditional town square where people sit and talk and rest. If you did not know Santiago was there you might miss it. This kind of town is why people love Mexico because the true heart of a nation can be found here,... More

We enjoyed Sunday morning and went to church at 11 a.m., they have a little handcrafts market on the side of the church where you can buy typical candies and wonder around.

Went there on the first days of November and the whole town had the Dia de Muertos decoration and it was fabulous. The town was packed, the atmosphere was incredible, the food was just amazing. We loved that place!

This is an awsome little town very close from Monterrey area. Santiago has great restaurants and a very romantic downtown, with narrow streets, and great views.
