The mission in Todos Santos has a rich history, dating back to 1723. The current building isn't the original one, but the story outside talks about it. It's a rather plain inside, but the history is still there, and it's a nice place to visit on a warm day.

While visiting Todos Santos, we were able to see the church and its grounds. It was nice to see, that during the day, the church was open for visitors and parishioners. We didn't find out when it was built, but it was nicely decorated.

This pretty church was established in the 18th century but was burned by indigenous people who were enslaved by the conquering Spaniards. Rebuilt much later it is pretty glows with a golden light inside. It's named after the Virgin of the Pillar, the first Spanish madonna associated with Spain's patron saint Santiago. There is a charming mural in the courtyard... More

This is a beautiful, peaceful church. Many churches in Mexico are very ornate with seemingly everything gilded. This church is much plainer, but it makes one feel like sitting and staying a while.

This mission church is very plain except for the colored glass on the altar. It will not take but a few minutes to tour the mission, then you can walk across the street to see the old theater.

My Family & I loved Todos Santos. It is a quaint town, probably about 6,000 people, easy to get around. This Church is right in the middle of things. It is in need of some repair, but you can tell this is a holy place & the people of Todos Santos are Religious. The Mexican people as a whole are,... More

We spent an evening walking through the charming town of Todos Santos and wandered into the church. There were several people praying and it was so peaceful. If only the pews could talk... you get the feeling there are many stories to be told over the years this church has been a part of the community. It's a beautiful place... More

Simple and pretty church. It was nice to wander in and take some photos. Don't expect some cathedral type setting though.
