Australian beaches are beautiful and so Australians are very hard markers when it comes to beaches. It was interesting to see a beach in a desert, and the water is a beautiful color, but there's not much else going for it. Ok for a couple of hours.

We had the beach to ourselves and enjoyed kayaking and swimming. Has a couple restaurants--great options for lunch.

Playa Pichilinque is close to the highway and when the tide goes out, it is a lot of mud! But the sand is white and the water is tuquoise, so not all is bad! There are palapas for rent and restaurant on the beach as well. I think the Esprit du Santu tours take off from this beach.

The location, food and service is all good. And the fishing from the beech is OK also. We snorkelled, fished then ate. Who needs Balandra bay?

We we're coming back from Balandra beach and were a little hungry, so we decided to stop by this restaurant I can't remember the name of it, but it was on Pichilingue beach. The restaurant was facing the beach and while we waited for our food we swam a bit. We saw lots of Fishes, lots of rocks though I... More

We snorkels beyond the junk. Tires and assorted garbage underwater. Beyond that there were pockets of beauty by the rocks. Almost vignette like scenes with sealift. One would not expect good snorkelling when faced with the garbage underwater at first. But well rewarded if you go out beyond the junk.
