A great place to relax, but a bit crowded sometimes. You can easily walk across the bay if the crowds get too much. Not much snorkeling. Great views from the hill overlooking the bay.

Wow! I thought it was so beautiful here. Shallow, warm water that is perfectly still. I could have swam around all day. It was part of a tour so only had an hour. If you like swimming and the beach it is a must go...More

Nice outing with a visiting amigo. When you go bring your own umbrella or get there early to score one of the many pomfon shaded areas on the shore

We thoroughly enjoyed this beach, only a short trip from La Paz. Kayaked in the mangroves and walked through the crystal clear, warm waters. You don’t need a mask and snorkle to see an array of sea life. Next time we’d take a cooler with...More

This beautiful beach was full of surprises. Maybe because I didn't do my homework, went on a whim and had no idea what to expect. Many wouldn't drive 2 hours out of Cabo San Lucas (the tourist area) and come to a beach they only...More

Balandra Beach is very close to La Paz’ Malecon where you can find many hotels and condos with ocean view. You need a car to get to this and other beautiful beaches near by. From my experience low season starts when the heat... More

Hi, it depends where you want to stay. I believe there were a few smaller places on the way to this beach. But you might be better off staying at one of the many hotels along the malecon in La Paz.

We had our own car. We drove from LA to Baja. Sounds like getting a ride would be a good idea.
