Took a three-day cruise out of Long Beach to Ensenada. First time in Mexico, it was very scenic, nice shopping district, plenty of vendors and you will find plenty of deals all along the strip. All vendors sell the same items, just about, so you...More

The tourists here tend to be a bit of a different crowd than in TJ, so the offerings are a little different and the hustle is gentler and smoother. It's a good place to walk around - you;'ll see many things of interest and they...More

Not a lot happening in Ensenada, so we opted to walk down First Street. Salesmen weren't as intense as Tijuana and were good natured. We enjoyed our time and then back to the ship!

Fairly typical “tourist” main drag. But, the vendors were friendlier and more humorous than most we had experienced. “Hey, stop here and buy something you don’t need” sort of thing. Several decent restaurants, some clothing shops and all sorts of shops with “local” wares...many having...More

This street is filled with hordes of tourists looking for cheap curios and souvenirs. I'm sure that they find them, but overall it's just plain tacky.

Yes. Puerto Nuevo is about an hour from Ensenada along Mex. Rte. 1 (toll road). My favorite restaurant is Ortega’s followed by Splash Restaurant. Both offer sweeping views of the pacific and are most enjoyable at sunset.
