Free parking. Only £6-00 entry fee. Gift shop and cafe. All the food is animal friendly. The sanctuary is massive and even has a telescope to view distant areas. The animals that are nearer have good living spaces. There are hundreds of rescue animals here that have found sanctuary. They have food, shelter, health care and most of all LOVE... More

This sanctuary was at west runton and the staff were very welcoming. The animals all had very sad stories and seemed well cared for and pampered. The only fly in the ointment was that all the branding seems a bit dated I.e. the website was very confusing, the information boards cluttered and it all seemed a bit thrown together. I... More

If you are travelling any distance to see this sanctuary. I would call ahead to see if they are open or allowing visitors. Total waste of time.

While on holiday we visited both Hillside animals centres, we had a great day lots of rescued animals all been well looked after with information boards around and we were able to pet them. Plenty of toilets hand washing stations and refreshments available with a reasonably priced shop. We were able to take our dog in. Well worth a visit... More

Visited both Hillside Animal Sanctuary sites as it was a special opening weekend. Had a lovely time. Over 2000 animal spread across the sites, so much to see, we could pet the animals too. Really interesting information boards displayed often around the farms. Farm shop and cafe was very reasonably priced, lots of bric-a-brac shopping opportunities if you want to... More

My wife and I live in the village where the sanctuary is situated. I must confess that though we visit it regularly, we do not pay but just pass through the public footpath that goes through it. Horses, goats, ponies, highland cattle... there is a lot to see,and they do a good work.

Had a great afternoon thanks. Lovely animals and my daughter just loved the horses so much (way more animals than I imagined) and not too pricey to get in. I don't understand one review below where it said was free entry as we paid?! All animals so very well looked after- lovely play area for the young ones too -... More

The sanctuary is like a well-oiled machine! Restores your faith in human nature, some people do really care about our mistreated animals! The animals all look happy and very well cared for. Not to forget the staff, they were all lovely too! Well worth a visit!!

The Sanctuary is well worth a viist. Its free to get in and free parking. The horses and donkeys all are very well looked after - its wonderful to know when some of them have had sad beginnings. But they looked like they were in paradise. Very pretty place all round. We did contribute to Sanctuary - it is entirely up... More

An established rescue sanctuary for neglected farm animals and various companion animals from Norfolk and further afield. Founded by compassionate people to help unwanted or abandoned animals and provide a home forever, free from distress and abuse in many cases. The open days are a rare opportunity to see the animals up close and donate to help their welfare as... More
