Vicious park
Jun 2021
East Renfrewshire local authority allow dogs to freely run around unleashed in this park.

We experienced an attack on our puppy from two vicious unleashed dogs while the Ned owners of the attack dogs just laughed.

If you love your dog, please stay away from this park and tell others.

Waterfall Magic
Dec 2020 • Couples
The waterfall and paths that curves around it are just brilliant. What a nice afternoon. I would advise a good pair of shoes especially around the waterfall because the paths can get a wee bit muddy. The duck pond also had a wee cafe next to it, which looked really nice.

We only serve Rook in the Glen🤔
Dec 2020 • Friends
A very brisk walk before rain stopped play in one of Glasgow's lesser Known Parks. The main attraction is the huge pond which is nice to walk around viewing its many reflections. In better times there is the boathouse cafe sadly reduced today to take away trade only. A short distance away is an interesting tumbling waterfall, close to a very picturesque rocky, wooded area. Today a bit wet and muddy but in spring a complete joy. Serviced from the city centre by the 38 bus Rouken Glen Park is definitely worth a visit.🤗

A beautiful park
Oct 2020
A beautiful park in the affluent area of Giffnock. We used spend many hours as a children and this is the first time I've been back since then. It's still a great park with lots of paved and woodlands walk. The boating is sadly no more, no thanks to health and safety.

The trees and everything else looks amazing in the fading light of late summer. There's also three cafe/restaurant in the park including the one in the garden centre. So a great place to walk and earn a well deserved snack.

Fantastic place to visit with the kids away from the hustle and bustle of the city
Jul 2020
After being in Lockdown for 3 months in 2020, it was good to get out and about, and we decided to go to Rouken Glen Park with our two daughters (aged 3 and 6).

Fantastic large park with plenty of space to keep social distancing, with a large play area, and plenty of land to walk around.

We wandered up to the duck pond, and then walked back via the woodland walk, which was really nice and my two kids absolutely loved it.

Not much in the way of benches and tables should you fancy a picnic, but there is some ice cream vans where you can get a coffee and a ice cream.

Will almost certainly be back here again in future.

Beautiful clean park. With lots of routes to walk, the waterfall at the top is beautiful, when we visited there was pony rides £4/£5 a shot and some shows also there is a play park and lots of space for picnics could easily spend a day there in the summer ice cream van too

Lovely walk in summer evening.
Sep 2019
Last minute walk in the park on a summers evening. It could well have been the glorious weather that made the evening so enjoyable since its not every day we get it, lol. Glasgow has many parks and I have visited quite a few but this has to be up there with one of my personal favourites!
