Had a great few hour here during our visit. Castle was great for the kids to run around and the view from the roof is spectacular.....topped off by a lovely lunch at the Seafood cabin

Pleasant surroundings...walkable... 🦌 etc... castle remains and grounds are well presented... there's a wee smoke house and a cafe/ Bistro on the site... can only help attendance...worth the visit 😍 Lost the photos... may find and post later😱

Looking out across Kilbrannan Sound you can just imagine the vikings and other seafaring warriors arriving in their long boats. This castle was seriously built for defence and it is still possible to get up to the ramparts. Worth visiting and great seafood cabin next...More

If you are in the Skipness area don't miss seeing the Castle. It overlooks the Isle of Arran and if you climb to the top the views are gorgeous. It was a little tricky to find so look for the Seafood Shack it is just...More

An interesting place to visit following a meal at the Seafood Cabin. A short walk to the beach with lovely views across to Arran.

Sorry I have no idea. The castle is pretty much a ruin, but I am sure you could approach whoever runs it and ask.
