We stopped here by chance as we were passing on the road to the ferry - we are so glad we did! What an amazing place, and such a credit to the new owners who I think took over about a year ago. The cafe was lovely - very tasty food and drinks all served in a beautiful setting. On... More

My father and I had a wonderful visit to the Ardnamurchan Natural History Centre, it has a fun and engaging nature display as well as a great location. The recently renovated café and gift-shop are very welcoming, clean and well-presented. It was delightful to speak with the owners Richard and Vicky and we greatly enjoyed our cup of tea and... We stay along the road from here several times per year. This place has a decent range of food on offer, and all the food we have sampled here tastes lovely. However, the coffee isn't overly warm, and it would be a good idea for staff to heat the cups with some hot water before dispensing coffee from the coffee... More

Hi, Thanks for the comments. Our customer service and satisfaction is a priority. We do use a heated cabinet for all cups. However the Americano and Cappuccino cups due to the shape do get colder faster. Issues such as this can be easily rectified if brought to our attention at the time. Hot milk is also available if requested. Glad... More

Stopped by for a cuppa on our way to the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the staff were so welcoming, friendly and answered any questions that we asked, the new owner had only taken over last year and opened the museum part of the centre for free, kids (and adults) will love the museum with its one way window to watch birds on... Such a lovely visit. The natural history exhibition was lovely thoughtful and with the viewing windows so easy to just sit and watch the wildlife. The café was lovely and the cake superb! The gift shop was filled with delightful treasures and all set in breathtaking views.

We had a lovely slice of cake and a cup of coffee sitting out side on a beautiful sunny day with amazing scenery. We were lucky enough to see a juvenile golden eagle flying high above the centre. Staff are very friendly and welcoming

A good stop off in on the peninsula. Good basic light bite food. Good value with pleasant surroundings and nice gifts. Would be better if open all year round, so OK for the main season.

We visited this place while waiting for a tour round the Ardnamurchan Distillery which is only a 2-minute walk away. It is a great place for lunch or a snack, with a fabulous view over the loch. Great gift shop. We arrived on the last day before the centre is to due close for the winter months.

We had a lovely lunch which was well priced. Service was quick and friendly. The centre is in the process of being further improved after many years of neglect. We left saying what a nice place and friendly person. We were to find out a few minutes later just what a kind person runs this place. We happened upon an... More

Great visitor centre with very knowledgeable staff, great cafe and lots of other useful bits and pieces to buy (maps, guides, confectionery, gifts, posters, postcards, unique wooden items, crystals etc.). Good place to buy peanuts to feed the Pine Martens and Badgers :-) Closed out of season though (End of October through to May)
