This was my favorite island in the Abacos. Hopetown on Elbow Cay is what you think of when you want the classic Bahamian look, the pastel colored homes with the picket fences. And the Lighthouse gives it the Thomas Kinkaid feel. The people are friendly and the streets are clean, what more could you ask for. Will be back again

I love spending weekends in the Florida Keys. However, this little island has to be one of the single most relaxing places to spend a week. Everything is walking distance and not overdone with tourist traps. Great restaurants and just a great place to go to relax, wind down, and do nothing (if you choose). The people are extraordinarily friendly... More

We have visited Elbow Cay on several ocassions in the past ten years and love the wonderful laid back and friendly atmosphere and the fact that hardly anyone knows where it is or how to get there. Our last visit in 2013 we stayed at the charming Hope Town Harbor Lodge, where Karaoke was a lot of fun! Our other... More

We have been to some incredible dive locations and new that the Bahamas would not compare but still wanted to give it a try. The dive at Fowl Cay was good unfortunately the weather was spotty and the dive master did not want to wait it out even though the storms were not bad and he thought he hit the... More

We returned here after 20 years away. Having spent 2 days looking at the changes in Nassau we were delighted to find Hopetown exactly as we had left it. Completely unspoilt and utterly charming. I just love it here. We stayed in Opals Cottage and it was just the best possible place for their 4 of us. The beach to... More
