I love it !! The best beach and, clear water . Snorkeling is ok - good not great . Get there early it can get crowded. Sand is soft and very white and water is always warm . I prefer this to trunk and water lemon !

Great anchorage if you are looking for a spot to avoid the crowds. We saw sting rays, snapper and barracudas off the back of our catamaran.

We visited several beaches while on St. John and snorkeled at most. The best snorkeling we experienced was on the rocks on the left-hand side of Salt Pond. It even surpassed Waterlemon Cay, but that could have just been timing. The variety and quantity of fish at Salt Pond was outstanding. One person in our party said it was like... More

Absolutely gorgeous. The water is totally clear and beautiful. While you're there, take the hike up to Ram's Head, beautiful views.

The beach is nice, even the .3 mile walk down to the beach is worth the effort. After spending time at other beaches, this beach seemed louder and busier than one would like on a vacation get away. A great place for families, but perhaps not of those looking for a quiet get away.

Family with teen boys went here to snorkel. We saw a lot of pretty fish. Hiked to Ram Head .. WOW what a view. Would for sure visit this beach and do the hike again.

We love spending time at Salt Pond, it's always a good snorkel! The beach is usually not too crowded, although each year it gets a bit more so. Lots to see underwater here!

It is usually a quiet beach, too far for most cruise ship people. Very calm clear water, good snorkeling. We saw lots of turtles. Do the 1 hour round trip to Rams Head hike from Salt Pond beach, great views.

Great quiet beach away from the crowds, but a trek down and up. Calm waters, warm and good for snorkeling.
