The good news: this world-class stretch of white sand and turquoise water is St. John's most photographed beach, which features a marked underwater trail for beginning snorkelers. The bad news: because of its popularity, it can get very crowded with cruise ship passengers and members of sightseeing tours.

No fee to get in right now. Long, powder beach, ocean is clear and gorgeous. Plenty of shade for everyone. Restrooms and shelter house open.

Probably one of our favorite beaches including hawksnest beach on this trip. Right now you do not have to pay the $5.

This beach was awesome but the concessions were closed. So bring food. It cost $5.00 per adult to get in if amenities are open. It’s really beautiful. If you have time I would put this beach as my second favorite on St John. Hawk nest...More

Trunk Bay. Hard to pass by. Always beautiful. Showers clean n open, a little windy, no concession yet. Unspoiled, gorgeous, lovely incredible beach.

The day I was there, they didn't charge admission and other than renting equipment none of the concessions were available. Does have shower facilities which is nice. My only complaint is that there isn't any shade or umbrellas to rent. The beach and sand were...More

Beautiful beach, but this place draws larger crowds for it's name recognition. This is one of the most photographed beaches in the world, but gets to be very crowded, especially when cruise ships come into town. Take your photos and visit if you enjoy larger...More

Incredible place. It’s worth the trip. My wife and I were staying in Charlotte Amalie, we took the ferry and then jumped in a vehicle to get to the beach. We were not disappointed.

Starting from St Thomas it was a trek to get to Trunk Bay. We took a taxi to a ferry then another taxi to Trunk Bay. The taxi driver pulled off a couple of times so we could enjoy the view and take photos. The...More

Beach looks like a good section of it was scooped out--walk from the changing room/shower now shorter. Snorkel trail plaques either partially or totally covered with sand and not as much colorful coral. However, still the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Water is...More

Such an iconic beach; not to miss. The beauty is astounding. The snorkeling trail is very fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the fan coral located along the rock coral formation alongside the small mountain.

I would say Cruz Bay. Almost all the bars and restaurants are open at Mongoose Junction as well as the ones that line the street. Longboard, Margarita Phil's, Cruz Bay Landing.
