Brilliant white powder sand and very clear water with amazing shades of blue accented by green hills.

This beach is amazing. Turquoise blue water and white sandy beaches. You can rent beach chairs and an umbrella as well as snorkeling gear. Make sure to take water as the concession stand was not open during our visit.

Probably the only beach in St John with restrooms and showers. There are also snacks and drinks for sale. The snorkeling is good. You can’t go to St John and not visit Trunk Bay.

Beautiful, crystal clear water beach. The sand is soft and fluffy. Parking is across the street. The views all around are breathtaking!

I think a lot of the coral here was damaged by the 2017 hurricanes. The surf was a bit rough when we visited, and we couldn't see much of anything with our snorkel gear. For snorkeling, Maho turned out to be much better. The sand...More

This is the only beach we visited on St. John, but it was really nice. It was a little wavy for snorkeling, and there wasn't much to see anyway. Make sure you are a very strong swimmer if you plan on going out onto the...More

No snack bar available as of 7-26-2018 visit. Can rent gear and chairs, tho. Have to return them by 3:30. They shut it down at 4 and turn the water off so no showers or restrooms after 4pm.

I would say Cruz Bay. Almost all the bars and restaurants are open at Mongoose Junction as well as the ones that line the street. Longboard, Margarita Phil's, Cruz Bay Landing.
