Wear sneakers and bring water and pack light. The trail is well marked but quite rocky in spots but it's not a difficult mile; around 30 minutes at normal pace. Beach is perfect once you arrive. Good snorkeling and pristine waters. We were the only...More

Snorkeling was just average but the beach was lovely and no one was there. I would definitely recommend for a quieter experience.

We're staying at Caneel Bay so we took the hike from our resort. Total trip is .7 miles each way (eaxactly .24 miles from honeymoon beach) it's not the best hike in flip flops but we survived. As others have said, you have to work...More

We enjoyed the beaches on the Llindt Point Trail on our last visit to St. John, and were glad to return. We parked free with a permit obtained at the visitor's center, then walked the trail to Salomon. We recommend good shoes (hiking, trail, or...More

It was our first time going to St. John and we hiked to Salomon Beach. So very very beautiful. We worked up quite a sweat getting down to the beach that the water felt a bit cold at first but once you get in, it's...More

it depends on the day...the kind of experience you get at Salomon. You might just be the only person there for 8 hours. You might also be crammed in with 30 other sunseekers on a beach that's barely 100 yards long. Snorkeling is good here,...More

Similar beach to Honeymoon, separated by rocks and a Park Ranger house. Must hike or boat to this beach. Often referred to as the 'nude' beach but nudity is prohibited by law. Good snorkeling to the far left or right. A bit of a step...More
