Awesome but hot!

This is a truly spectacular place. Much more arid than the rest of St. John. Bring water and a hat and you will be fine. Great morning hike followed up by lunch at skinny legs!

we hiked all over and this was the most rewarding. absolutely STUNNING views all the way up. Cliffs, huge rock formations, etc. Nothing but gorgeous cliffs at top - wouldn't bring little ones. bring your mask and snorkel so you can hit Salt Pond Bay after you hike. Incredibly beautiful.

This was a pretty good, just the right challenge (if you stay on the right path). We are older, not in peak hiking condidtion but did fine on the hike. We did go at the peak heat of day which was not too bright but luckily took along water. The hike up should take about 15-20 minutes (stay on the... More

This is THE best place to watch the sunset from St. John! The hike is very fun and runs along the beach part of the way. It is amazing to see the different vegetation on this part of the island! Even at a moderate pace you can make it back to the trail head before it gets dark but I'd... More

If you're a hiker, or if you're not, this is NOT to be missed. My family did this (wife, son 10, daughter 13) and it was phenomenal! Strap on shoes are required but don't need hiking boots or anything. Views are fantastic and unique from the end. Do give yourself some time - my wife and I usually turn hikes... More

This hike was awesome! The views at the top are well worth the climb which is no big deal if you are a somewhat active adult. Husband and I did the hike on an overcast somewhat rainy day and found the trail to be a tad slippery in places but just be aware and you'll be fine. Listen to the... More

This was a really fun hike! I've been to St. John before, but I had never done this hike before, and I really enjoyed it. The views all along the trail are very cool! To get there, park at Salt Pond and walk down to the beach. Keep going along the beach and the Ram's Head Trail picks up at... More

We had a few rainy days and decided to do this trail since the days were cooler and overcast. I can see that this trail would be very hot in the mid day typically. Take lots of water and sunscreen. If you are scared of heights don't get near the edge at the top. Incredible views. Should be a great... More

Easy hiking. Would be great for a sunset. Rocky path with lots to see. We were a group of six, ages 70 to five and we all like this the best of several, hikes we took, including the hike to the petroglyphs.
