A favorite of windsurfers, the beach has fine white sand and beautiful views of St. John and offshore cays, and offers excellent snorkeling at the reef to the east, near Pettyklip Point.

For St. Thomas, this is a pretty nice beach. Although I nicknamed it "chain smoker beach" within the first 10 minutes of being there & it lived up to that all week. Maybe it was the luck of the draw with who happened to be there that week but there were a lot of smokers. The beach is pretty and... More

Not much to say really. Nice water. Beach is a little narrow but many natural shades and quite sandy. It does have a belt with some shells and do have spots with rocks. You still get a decent size to swim around but it does get crowded very soon.

Sapphire beach is beautiful and the condo at sapphire beach resort is great for a clue or small family - they are basically studios so a large group might be cramped. Condo is clean and has everything you need for a beach vacation - and first floor is so convienent- just walk out the door and you are on the... More

Great views, great sand, nice people. The beach is smaller than we thought but was not crowded. If you want a long walk, be prepared to do a few laps!

The views from this beach are the best on St. Thomas. I saw more fish here while snorkeling than I did on St. John. There's a beach bar and they even bring you drinks while you're in the water. I'm a beach baby and this is a 10.

We came to Sapphire Beach to meet up with a fishing charter we were renting. The view is stunning of the east side of St Thomas. It overlooks several different small Cays and some of the British Islands. The day we were there the Tradewinds felt very strong which did keep you cool but it was almost too windy. The... More

Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids (12&13) on a one day cruise ship stop. Researching ahead of time, it looked like Sapphire Beach was the best for snorkeling. We took a taxi from the port, and while I have a few issues with the taxis (please see note at the end) and with cruising in general, Sapphire Beach was... More

Beautiful white sand beach, gorgeous underwater corals. Saw turtle, tons of fish. One day there were lots of people on the beach by the Beach Bar - must be the folks from Cruise ships. Because the next day it was empty.

Laid back beach for sunning and swimming and not too crowded on a Monday, although not as big as Magens or some other STT beaches. Rental beach chairs and trees for shade. Can bet a bit windy as exposed to NEast winds but not a big problem. Beach bar is rustic and has good food, especially liked the chicken sandwich--one... More
