We stumbled onto this park by accident! The signage and road into this park might make you think you are not going the right way, but once you get to the top, the park is great. It is a small park, but has what you would expect in terms of quality interpretive exhibits and knowledgeable and friendly docents. It is... More

The volunteer that met us was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and history. I was slightly disappointed that we weren't able to visit the actual landing site of Columbus due to the unsuitable roads but hearing about bioluminecent bay and that you can see it illuminate at night when the moon is not too bright made me want... We were hoping to do some birdwatching. Alas, this wasn't really the place for that, or for hiking. But the visitors center is interesting, and the views from up on the hill are nice. The volunteer staffer (a lovely woman of Puerto Rican descent) gave us a lot of historical background about the island (including the battle between Columbus and... More

Our NPS volunteer docent was fantastic! Site of a significant Chris Columbus moment, but the location is also an opportunity to understand how the rich people live in their hillside villas. Has inspired me to do further research.

Bioluminescent at night was breathtaking! A must do while in st croix. We had a large group and the handled us with ease. Even our friend that has trouble walking made it on this trip because the men help us and him in and out of the small boat.

Tucked away far on the hill, this historical place is well worth the stop. The views are beautiful and learning about the history was good, too.

Do the clear bottom bioluminescence tour. I hear it's only worth it when there is no moon. It was amazing.

This national park was a contribution from a Doctor practicing in the island. The site is high on a hilltop with spectacular views of the surrounding area. Great facts and history from volunteers that provide information and a tour of the mansion.
