PARADISE!!!

Glad we made a day trip to Bucks island. It was like having your own private island. It was quiet, pristine and relaxing.

Buck island has an amazing beach: quintessential Caribbean! We stopped here for only 30 minutes before going to the other side of the island to snorkel. I could've laid on that white sand or relaxed in that turquoise water for hours!

The beach at Buck Island Cove is absolutely gorgeous. Be careful of thorns while you are walking along. There aren't a lot of them, but if you step on one, it will hurt bad. The sand is soft and white, the water is an amazing blue-green. Snorkeling is okay too, if you go out a bit. Worth a visit.

Beautiful cruise aboard the sailboat Blackbeards out of Christiansted on an off weather day. The captain and first mate were fabulous- John and Scott are great sailors, cooks and storytellers. The barrier reef, which was devastated with Hurricane Hugo is fragile and beautiful and a treasure to behold. Truly a gift of nature that America is so lucky to have... More

The beach at Buck Island is a great place to spend the day. Come by boat (charter, or private vessel with permit), anchor off the shore, and enjoy the beautiful scenery, sunshine and breeze. Swim to shore and walk the beach, or snorkel around the rocks on the northwest side. We have even swam with dolphins on at least one... More

The beach is soft white sand and the water is amazingly clear and warm. It is one of the prettiest spots I have ever seen. There are some picnic tables as well. At the far North end of the beach there are outhouses if you need to go. I was disappointed that there was some garbage people had thrown into... More

Part of the Blackbeards' trip to Buck Island dive site. Used beach as a stop over to try our hand at snorkelling which was an hour well spent. Beautiful clear calm water. No facilities so must bring own water etc and remove rubbish as this is a pristine US national park.

A few years ago, my family took a tour of Buck island and we scattered a few of my mother's ashes on the island. It was surreal to be on this remote island with unusual plant life and surrounded by waters of fish and coves protected by a place that respects Nature! Truly breathe taking!

$70 each, 3 hours excursion. Didn't want to do Trunk Bay because did it many years ago and felt it might be "fished" out from overuse. When got to Buck Island with marine biologist, the two green turtles left. To boat's credit they do not feed the fish or turtles. Biologist talked a lot, but when your face is in... More

Waters are warm and oh so very clear. The beach sand feels wonderful on your feet. Beach itself is not deep. Snorkeling is amazing. Very relaxing and peacful
