For years we went to Taylor Bay beach for the warm waters and quiet surroundings. New construction has dumped litter everywhere and made the path to the beach near impossible. It appears the island no longer wishes to keep beaches open to the public. Access roads and parking are reduced to nothing. This is also true of Sapodilla Bay

This might be my favorite beach on the planet. It is secluded, quiet, peaceful and beautiful. You can wade out in perfectly clear, perfectly calm, warm water hundreds of feet and still be in water only up to your shins. Can be hard to find, but it's worth it!

As of early March, 2017, Taylor Bay is now a private beach as it is surrounded by private land. The only way to access Taylor Bay is to rent a home at Sunset Bay, Ocean Point, Chalk Sound, and Silly Creek for which the owner has purchased an easement. Ask the owner.

The main roads public access is gone (housing development with private road now) but we found a dirt road to park and walk a path to the beach. Calm, Beautiful and our own little quiet get away!

Taylor Bay is hands down, the best beach in TCI for kids...BUT the owner / developer of the 3 white new builds has gated and locked the public access point on Ocean Dr. I guess he's within his rights to fence his property but man, what a shame...I hope the Govt of TCI can see that Taylor Bay is far... Having visited Taylor Bay several times over the last 5 years, we trekked out yesterday with 6 small kids. Can confirm that the access path at the base of ocean point drive is now blocked with a 6 foot, keyed iron gate that bars entry and exit. There were some other visitors around, but beware that there is no longer... More

All beaches in Turks and caicos are public, unfortunately, all public access has been blocked to the beach with no parking nor access.it is sad it came to this as we have enjoyed this area every year for the past 6 years.we hope that the government of this island can help us restore our access in the future

This beach which is located at the south end of the island is absolutely amazing. It's a bay therefore the water is very calm and the sand is powdery white. You can walk quite a ways out and the water is only at your waist. There is really no shade except for a couple of trees so go early in... More

Leave Grace Bay for a while and come here! Waist level water for as far out as you can walk. Perfect for kids!! Clear, warm, gorgeous water!

We tried several times to gain access to this beach, but it is no longer available to the public as of about the 4th of March 2017. We were there March 5 - 11, 2017. They have placed a locked gate where public used to pass. This was such a disappointment as we've heard this beach was phenomenal.
