We rented scooters and took a trip from Grace Bay, south west to the Chalk Sound. I dont think we meet a single other couple the whole day. It was so beautiful and we stopped off at Sapillo (sp?) Bay on the way back and...More

Chalk Sound is an area surrounded by luxury homes. There are very few public roads and those roads are not maintained. There is nothing to see or do here as it seems like the area is meant for those who own homes here. Not worth...More

We stayed here and the homes here are beautiful. Villas are rented out and the one we had was 3 levels. Full apartment on the bottom and main level had hot tub and pool with one bedroom. Upstairs has 4 bedrooms. Nice pad for parties...More

Driving around the island, we found ourselves on a road (with some nice houses) overlooking this sound. It was so amazing that we arranged to rent a kayak the next day, packed a lunch (from the local IGA) and spent the entire day - ALONE!...More

Hubs and I were staying for a week on Providenciales. The Chalk Sound looked like such an amazing spot that I wanted to kayak on it. I've never kayaked. I'm not in great shape. We were sad to find that the Las Brisas restaurant was...More

This area is where you go to get away. Nice homes but not much to do. Water is amazing but not many places to get out. Personally, I like the other areas better but I could see why the rich love this area. If you...More

Chalk sound is where a lot of the rich and famous have homes. It is a nice drive around with beautiful turquoise water views.

I stayed in Leeward Estates, and I cycled out to Taylor Bay and to Chalk Sound. I was also on a scuba trip which traveled over the sound. That color is incredible !

The water color of Chalk Sound is unbelievable. I have travelled to 100 countries and the water color on Turks and Caicos is like no other place

We had no issue there it seemed very safe. Need to take general precautions. We always left rental car unlock no valuables in it.
Since this is where you reside you probably know the areas well....considering renting a villa for 8 adults and 3 children and have options of Chalk Sound (which seems to have the nicest views and calmness winds?), Leeward and Iron shore (Alta Bella)..would like to be able to snorkel and kayak from property and have a beach where the little guys can play...we like to visit other areas and will have two cars but would be nice to be somewhat close to restaurants or bar where older ones can go after dinner ..doesn't look like Grace Bay is good for kayaking but I am not the expert....did a pool/beachfront in Cayman with a coffeehouse down the road...this worked well for us...also, looks like Sapodilla is across the road from Chalk Sound...feasible to kayak from Chalk Sound to there? Lots of questions but TA has slew helped me in planning past trips...any information appreciated!
