My wife and I visited Castara in Nov/Dec for 2 weeks self catering. Fishermen sell their daily catch at 4pm and the local ladies bake fresh bread on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Excellent snorkelling on the right hand side of the beach. Beautiful sunsets. Great vacation.

Visited in November 2016. Had the place almost all to ourselves. Beware of locals who try to sell you the use of the lounge chairs. We paid the first fellow to ask ($5.00 USD each), but had several more young men ask for money. They did not believe we paid the first guy, and we had no proof. We were... More

Beaches and quirky little shops and bars. Great locals and worth getting to know them for their knowledge. A little rough round the edges in places but it is the Caribbean as was elsewhere and we loved it.

One of the best beach in my view.lots of beach to walk on, relax, and the water is clear and calm. There are some fishing activities which can be noisy at times when the boats start up.

As you arrive in Castara you see the beach ahead of you - parking is not easy and you need to find a space on the main road. There are numerous coffee shops, bars and restaurants all very reasonably priced. The beach itself is fine if you walk along a little way from the main stretch but we found parking... More

We stayed in a little house during the off season in September. Many of the places were not open yet, so there is not much going on. I have been to many of the places in Tobago, and wanted to visit the beach coves areas on the north side. I would suggest getting one of the local guides to take... More

Castara Bay even though I did not bathe is such a lovely bay. There's such an amazing scenary!! All those beautiful fishermen boats. Castara for me is like a fishermen stop besides all the beauty of it. The fishermen's boats are there and its like a liming spot. Castara is still a amazingly gorgeous beach!!

Very beautiful and untouched beach in Tobago. A must visit! Very quiet and serene. Bit of a drive to get there but definitely worth it.
