The zoo is a vast area with lots to see. Suitable for young children. Will be back. Oh, and if you're not a fan of snakes like I am, you might want to avoid that area completely.

many of the animals were lovely to watch, especially the tigers and monkeys, but there were some displays that didn't seem to have enough space. plus it's VERY hot there and some enclosures didn't have enough water or appeared dirty.

This little zoo seems to be making do as best as it can given the lack of space and limited funding. They are gradually upgrading the enclosures but it is sad to see some of those magnificent animals cooped up in such small areas.

overall an awesome experience. Definitely one to remember and to do again. Next time a longer stay would be a good idea

I have taken my daughter there on more than one occasion when I visit Trinidad. I have seen the transformation and I love it. Plenty to see. New animals like the tigers. A must see.
