We've visited the zoo last week. They were preparing a massive theme; Halloween. For 30$TT p.p. you're in and easily entertain yourself for a couple of hours. Although a substantial amount of animal still house in small cages, the zoo seems busy on remodelling and relocating the animals. The variety of animals is great, but we were unfortunate to see... Coming from North America, I wa shocked by how cultured this zoo was. Intending to spend 20 minutes, my trip at the zoo turned into two hours of fun

It is so depressing seeing these great creatures trapped in such confined spaces with terrible conditions. The cages are not even clean. The animals themselves are very irritable as can be seen from their body language. Overall a very depressing experience.

I recently visited the Zoo and realized that there were giraffes. I love all of the animals but this new addition was amazing especially since visitors can now feed the giraffes Melman and Mandela. The animals seemed quite comfortable. I love that the Zoo is improving each time I visit and hopefully I can see more interesting additions in the... More

I'm a sucker for wildlife and all things animal...and since I'm here on vacation this was a pleasure. The animals seemed quite comfortable. I loved the giraffes most!!! They were friendly and curious. Quite a few of the other animals were napping away in their cages so I'm not sure if I chose the wrong time to visit. However, I... More

This is a lovely place to have a calm date for conversation or a family outing. Located next to the Queen Park Savannah and the Royal Gardens in Port of Spain. It has a variety of animals to see such as giraffes, lions, otters, birds, monkeys, numerous types of fishes and my favorite, the white tigers. Has numerous places to... More

Every time I visit the zoo which is every couple years there are improvements. I love the new giraffe enclosure and the fact that visitors can now feed the giraffes Melman and Mandela. I love the whole concept of grouping all the animals from Africa together .. Giraffes, lions, tigers and mandrills! I was pleasantly surprised to see that the... More

This zoo was very nice. A great day can be spent here. Lots of animals to see and not alot of walking. It is nothing like the Bronx Zoo in NYC so do not expect for there to be thousands of animals. But it is a nice place and my son and I had a great day there!
