Great time in St. Vincent

I had the full day tour. Since I was the only one that signed up for the tour, I had a “personal” tour. Shakera was great! She explained the sites and their history. Most important to me was that she would stop and let me take photos anywhere I wanted. She never rushed me and always accommodated my wishes. Because it was just the two of us, we did the tour in a car, which I liked better - it made me feel more like a local. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in getting a taste of St. Vincent!

Dark View Falls Tour
We book this tour through Trip Advisor with Top Dawg Taxi & Tours. This was our second tour with Wayne from Top Dawg. We were well pleased with our first day and excited to be with him again. We had multiple stops on the tour with the highlight being Dark View Falls. Wayne was always very informative at each location. He guided us on the trail up to and from the falls, making sure we were comfortable with the short hike. Would definitely recommend this tour with Top Dawg.

Kingstown Botanical Gardens Tour with Top Dawg Taxi & Tours
We booked this through Trip Advisor. Very good tour with a very personable guide. Wayne, Top Dawg Taxi owner, was prompt and picked us up at our hotel for the half day tour. He pointed out many local buildings and gave us a good narrative on St Vincent. We had stops at Fort Charlotte and many photo stops along the way. Arriving at the Botanical Gardens we toured the garden with a guide that provided very detailed information about the plants and trees. He also related the history of the garden and St Vincent / Kingstown.

A view inside volcanic crater

Trip was very professional and well organized. Our way from Kingstown to the volcano slopes led along the south and then east (windward) coast of the island. We were accompanied by great views of the rocky cliffs and small bays of the Atlantic coast of St. Vincent. Our driver was very interesting about the places he passed. After an hour drive we arrived at the parking lot located on the eastern slope of the volcano, where we were handed over to the hands of an experienced guide (almost every day leads to the summit of the group), which at a steady pace, led our group to the edge of the summit crater. The hike led along a narrow path, mostly up the steps, through a tropical rain forest, where more and more ferns rose along with the height. Along the way we passed through two barren lava flow and reached the slopes of the volcano built in the loose pyroclastic. This part of the volcano bears traces of 1979 eruption. The 1979 eruption destroyed at least a third of the vegetation that covered the slopes of the volcano. However, the eruption gave opportunities to observe the re-colonization and succession of vegetation types unique to a small tropical volcanic island. After the last about 20 minutes of the steep climb we reached at the edge of the crater and we could look inside.
An unforgettable view of the almost green lava dome filled much of the crater floor of Soufrière, worth a 2-hour climb. The weather was favorable, strong wind was blowing in the clouds and mist, so while climbing we were accompanied by a view of the east coast, and the crater overlooked the west Caribbean coast. After a short walk along the crater rim, efficient descent to the trail head and rest, we returned to Kingstown the same way. Along the way, we also managed to organize a short bath on the beach in Villa.
We were 5 people traveling on a cruise and it was very easy to organize, especially with pickup and drop off. Highly recommended. Remember to bring good shoes because of the wet and slippery ground.

Good if having little time on the island
Went in a mixed group of 6 adults with different age.
Picked up well in time in a Toyota mini van
Time for tour was as described.
The pirate set was busy - to be expected i suppose.
Will have to watch the films on my return to see where it was in the film.
Didnt think much of the little water fall but good excuse to have a rum punch.
Driver friendly and knowledgeable.
Nice little time spent from our cruise

Took the Dark View Falls and Pirates of the Caribbean tour

A fun day all around and a great tour guide, Shakeira, made for the perfect day! We even saw a rainbow in Buccament Bay shortly after starting out. Dark View Falls was beautiful! We crossed a bamboo bridge to get to the falls, then, after walking in the water beneath the lower falls, we climbed stairs to the upper falls! Fun and exciting. The Pirates of the Caribbean site at Wallilabou Bay was interesting, but not the highlight of the tour. We ended up with a beach break. Great day though, and worth every penny!

Excellent tour at a reasonable price.

Shakeira met us at the cruise terminal, then handed us over to our driver and guide Wayne. There were only 6 of us on this tour so we were very comfortable in the minibus. The whole trip around the west side of the island was wonderful and Wayne was extremely knowledgeable answering all of our questions. He stopped whenever we wanted so that we could take photos and we even got some lovely rum punch, as well as bottles of cold water. Thank you so much for a great tour.

Dark view falls tour

Topdawg was professional and courteous all day. They were easy to find off the cruise port, and they followed up the day before our tour with a message and photos of how to find them. We booked the dark view falls tour, and it was amazing. The drive is a bit long, but it gives you a great view of the island, and you learn history and facts as you go. I highly recommend them for a tour!
