took a bus trip from the cruise ship to the local centre and found this piece of history which is a twin to our own Big Ben

Passing through Basseterre you go through the square with a large clock in the centre, if possible its worth a stop to take photographs

This historic clock is the 'roundabout' / cross roads for vehicles and pedestrians alike. It takes little time to photograph but reading its history is very interesting. But be aware of the traffic as there are no official crossing points, you simply walk / mingle...More

Nice monument/clock, but it would mean more if the clock was displaying the proper time. Dangerous to get close since cars are moving around it.

Again - the history you get from the drive-by is interesting, but there's not a lot to see here since the good restaurant nearby recently shut down.

Good spot to chill and enjoy some nice local cocunut water and meet new people in our lovely island St kitts, Some foreigners call this location the little bend because in England they have the big bend

Its not like you have to go out of your way to see this memorial. It is a Victorian styled clock tower in the area called 'The Circus', right in the centre of Basseterre, the capital of St Kitts. It is a bit of England...More

In the middle of a turnaround circle in a busy part of town stands thss memorial. With a red British phone booth across the street it is like being in England.
