On a trip to Cayman Brac in March my husband and I drove to Spot Bay to, amongst other things, stop in at NIM Things. I had read and heard much about it and wanted to see the Caymanite jewellry. This is a small gift shop filled with items made by Tenson Scott (who makes the Caymanite jewellry), and his... More

We visited NIM while vacationing at the Brac. Mr. Scott had several earnings and necklaces made with caymanite. Other shell jewelry, small knock knacks, paintings and post cards of several island views and animals. Worth making the trip to NIM when you are on the island.

Gift shops are very limited on the island. We stopped here on our island tour. Mr. Scott will visit with you while you browse. Lots of stories. There are gifts of the local caymanite stone, shell items, and art.

Besides the jewelry, there is art, children's books, purses, magnets, etc. We enjoyed meeting the owner and listening to his tall tales. Head to Long Beach just a little past NIM after you stop & shop.

If you are on the island.. you need to take a few and go talk with nim... What an interesting person.. we only planned on staying a few min and didn't leave for 2 hours.. His wife brought us fresh lemonade from her trees in the yard and pan seared Marlin as a snack.. we could have stayed all day...

A talented man and his daughter own this business. It's in a building that looks like a house, so don't be shy. Go ahead and get out of your car. I purchased a caymanite pendant. As a person who dabbles in jewelry fabrication, I can say that the quality of the stone (cut, polish) is superior. The stone was cut... More

Stopped to look at Mr Scott's caymanite jewelry (which is beautiful) and chatted for an hour. The first visit we talked with his wife and she made a key lime pie for us (try coconut too), which was heavenly. On return trip to get pie, we talked with Mr Scott, that man is funny. He has some great stories to... More

A must visit just to talk to a Brac celebrity (of sorts). Let Tenson tell you about the necklace and catching fish with a button! While I'm of mixed minds about this my son had a great time cracking almonds to feed the caged rare Cayman Brac parrot that was just outside the store. We have seen the elusive birds... More

Thank you very much for your review of NIM Things and thank your son as our Pinky Polly do love the local almonds. We also have mixed feelings about keeping Polly caged but at this point we can not let Polly back in the wild as we had from a baby from the nest, many years ago. Thanks again for... More
