We had an absolutely beautiful evening for our trip. It was a short paddle to the bioluminescent bay and was interesting to hear how this occurs. Well taken care of by our guides who even gave us a brief astronomy lesson on the way back to the launch site. Thoroughly recommended.

We choose the latest 9pm trip for the Bioluminescence Tour. They were very helpful to make sure everyone was safe and felt comfortable with kayaking. David was our guide and was very knowledgeable about the Bioluminescence in the bay. You will get a little bit wet from the kayaks but the water was very warm. This is a must do... More

A must do when visiting Grand Cayman. A very magical experience. The star gazing alone is worth the trip.

What a wonderful experience! Instead of kayaking, we went on the electric boat tour to and on the bay. This boat was the brainchild of Tom, the owner of Cayman Kayaks and it was a brilliant idea. The bay is surrounded by homes with ambient light but when you get into the bay, Tom has you sit on the floor... More

Our group of 8 adults recently took this tour. The water was calm and it was a warm beautiful night with clear sky's. Our guide, Dave, was great! After going over the safety instructions and getting our equipment we set out on the water. Along the way, Dave pointed out the constellations in the sky among other things along the... More

If the tour is running (depends on moon rise schedule) book this trip. It was fantastic. As another reviewer mentioned, in addition to the microbes, Tom provides info on the constellations. His electric boat is cleverly designed to eliminate as much ambient light as possible so the experience is enhanced. It's a small and intimate tour, only 6 guests on... More

We highly recommend doing this while on Grand Cayman. It is a quiet, special experience for nature lovers. It is so special to be on the water at night, looking at the stars and the bioluminescence in the water. The guides were wonderful, you get to meet fellow travelers and overall it is just a wonderful evening. The kayaking is... More

So maybe you are scared off by the fancy name or the fact that you need to get to Rum Point but it was worth it. You have the option of taking kayaks or the custom made electric boat. We took the boat and were very happy we did. The owner (Tom) was the captain of our boat and we... More

Let me echo all the wonderful reviews...it was worth the hour and 1/4 drive from the West End. Tom was awesome and gave us an (entertaining, but informative) education on bioluminescence as well as constellations. (The stars were amazing.) Moving your hands and feet in the water to see the sparkling light in the dark bay was beautiful and fun.... More

Cayman Kayaks are a professional and well organized group. Our guide Josh was knowledgeable and encouraged questions. Our tour started with a short information session about what we would be doing and we all got suited up with PFDs and paddles. They don't recommend bringing anything with you - like cameras, etc - and there is really no need. So, just... More
