Tiki Beach is no longer

This should be removed from your site Tiki Beach Bar and restaurant has been closed for years now? The Kimpton Hotel and Condos is erected on that site - sad as Tiki was a terrific bar and restaurant to visit - it is missed

This place had everything for a Beach Day

(June 2012) This beach spot is located on seven mile beach and it had everything anyone can ask for to enjoy the beach. Between the snorkeling, reefs, jet skis... what more can anyone ask for. Since we were there as part of a carnival shore excursion, we didn't get much time. But I had a chance to, I would stay there all day.

This is one of our favorite places to eat on Grand Cayman. The views of the water are amazing, service is great, and the food is delicious.

My wife and I have been going to Cayman for about 11 years now . Last year we ate at the Tiki Beach and it was good as always, rite on the water for the picture perfect sun sets was always our time to visit the T B . But this year was a little different ! The two of us would do our morning walk , pass the T B and notice no tables and chair set out , Xmas was around the corner. The busy time of year was here , and no T B opening . We asked the security guard, he did not know when it would reopen. We started chatting with some from around the area , the story is that there's walk of a Four Seasons going to be built across the road . So it's all talk rite now , so maybe the T B has been sold , and that why there not open this Xmas . That's too bad because it's a great place to hang out .

FYI - this place is closed....

Just wanted to share with folks that Tiki Beach Club is closed. I understand from locals that it recently closed after tropical storm Nate came through. The beach there is public but not much to look at as the trash is starting to pile up. It's unfortunate because its a bit of an eyesore right beside the Kimpton Seafire!

Great beach! Lots of water sports equipment there. -- *But* just read it might be closed???

I strolled down (read: sweated profusely, didn’t realize the heat and humidity GCI would have by 10 am!) from our condo at Aqua Bay Club early on the first morning of our stay. Great walk on an absolutely beautiful beach. Came to Tiki which is a public beach on a stretch of pure white sand facing crystal clear aquamarine water. You can rent beach chairs, kayaks, sailboats, huge water tricycles that look like waaaay to much work to me. There’s a nice beach bar with cold drinks and munchies. Give it a try!

When I went to post this review I read others that said it closed??? I think they were taking about the restaurant only? Not the watersports/chairs section???

Tiki Beach has closed it's doors

Wanted to let people know that this place shut down. I was staying at the next door Kimpton and people told me the place just unceremoniously did not open about 3 weeks ago and has remained closed. Given the recent poor reviews I guess it was inevitable. So, if you were thinking of venturing out to this beach bar from a cruise, etc. there's lots of other beach bars to choose !

Don't waste your time!!!

We booked this excursion while on a cruise, and we were horribly disappointed. As with all cruises, you have a limited amount of time at each port of call. Transportation to and from each excursion is supposed to be arranged ahead of time. We had to leave the port and walk approximately 15 minutes away to catch our ride. Only one bus to accommodate too many people. Another 30 minute wait for another bus. We arrived at the beach, which in and of itself is OK. My daughter was hungry, so we checked into something to eat for her. A cheese burger, no fries or drink, was $24.00. I realize things are move expensive in the islands, but that is a bit of an overreach!!! Don't waste your time or money. Choose a public beach and you will be just as happy, and financially better off.

This place is next door to the Seafire, so you'd expect it to capitalize. Wrong. The night we were there, we got dumped unceremoniously at a table that we had to wait to be cleaned, and then nobody would wait on us despite the waiters and servers all hanging at the bar. (Think car dealership where there is a shady cluster of salespeople but none will wait on you as it is 10 minutes until 7PM!)
The outside of the place with it's tiki torches and grass roof (a la Don the Beachcomber in California) is very cool, but I think Dad left the place to his kids when he went out for the night and it was Risky Business to do so.
The food was average, the drinks were not very well made, and I want my 90 minutes back. Worst meal we had on the island....and I would have complained had there been anyone in charge there!
