Not as big as the picture makes it look. Seems to be a place where many locals and cruise ship people go. Some trash on the beach. Lots of chickens around also. There is restrooms there.

Great park. Quiet beach. Go where the locals go to swim and relax. There are bathrooms and a shower. Plenty of parking across the street. Park is maintained by the government. NO admittance fee. Worth the trip.

As with all public beaches on Grand Cayman - I'm sad to say too many people feel free to litter! There are beer bottle tops (keep your shoes on!), plastic knives and forks, plastic bottles, etc etc. Such a shame that a certain class of...More

One of the most untouched, pristine places on the island. Meet fantastic locals, and enjoy the beauty! Snorkeling is great.

Last time we went to Smith Cove, the water was so choppy we didn't have a chance to snorkel. This time it was fabulous. What a fun, secluded place. The fish were abundant. There is a restroom on the property for your convenience and parking...More

A relatively small beach area with public facilities, some shade and trees plus an amazing sand and surf and rock combination. Some excellent snorkeling opportunities fairly close and shallow. My wife and I are glad we took the time to experience this wonderful place where...More

My son and his bride had engagement pictures made here. The water is beautiful. There is a restroom and changing area available and parking is available. This area had the largest fish when snorkeling and they were close to the coast. Neat place with mmeories

Imagine approaching the unknown cove from across the street and walking through the low canopy of shade trees as they slowly give way to the open beach, not knowing what to expect...the first glimpses of the surreal cerulean sea contrasted by dark coral seawall, framed...More

Smith Barcadere was very busy, but the water was gorgeous and it was great for snorkeling. Bathrooms/showers and free parking - I think it's a must do when you visit Grand Cayman!

There is a small motel-type place less than a mile north of Smith Cove. I stayed there last year. The name is Riviera Grand Cayman. Very basic, no frills place. It was up for sale so I don't know if it still exists. The... More

It is about 2 miles from where the cruise ship docks to the cove. No sidewalks (most of the way).
