We enjoyed our stop at Smith Cove for a change from the typical beaches. There are picnic tables, this shady beach is not large enough to accommodate lounge chairs. There is a restroom, an outdoor shower and ample parking across the street. The day we...More

Just a small cove off the beaten path where you can sit and enjoy just being together or swimming and snorkling. My first visit to this cove was in 1987. We went back to Grand Cayman for the next 10 years and married on the...More

Bring your mask and fins for a fun snorkel around the rocks. We saw 2 schools of blue tangs, and lots of other fish. Just be careful of the tide, as it could push you into the rocks or sea urchins.

Stop here and went snorkeling. Easy to get in and out. Parking lot that's free across the street and bathroom with outdoor shower available. Lots of different kinds of fish and coral starting at 20 feet off the beach.

This is a place to see. It can be very rough water but the water can also be calm, clear and deep. Great place to snorkel.

This place is sort of like snorkeling in an aquarium. The setting is beautiful. You can walk in to snorkel. There were quite a few locals when we went, which was nice. There is an outdoor shower and restrooms where we could change.

Decided to spend the afternoon here and didn't regret it. We brought our snorkeling gear and were greeted by beautiful coral reef and wildlife. It's also walking distance to grand old house, which was perfect for happy hour and an early dinner. Would definitely recommend!

This small cove is great for an afternoon swim. It is a beautiful swimming hole. It is small and not necessarily a stop for an all day "beach day," but it is worth a stop. There is plenty of shade and beautiful rocks surrounding the...More

There is a small motel-type place less than a mile north of Smith Cove. I stayed there last year. The name is Riviera Grand Cayman. Very basic, no frills place. It was up for sale so I don't know if it still exists. The... More

It is about 2 miles from where the cruise ship docks to the cove. No sidewalks (most of the way).
