Spring Bay a Favorite

Much like the Baths, but no people, no fees, and still beautiful beach, boulders and amazing colored water!

Not quite as many "indoor" sections as the baths but it's a lesser known free alternative and has great pools with great snorkelling.

Spring and Devil's Bay are separated by the Baths and are much less crowded than the Baths. All three are similar in make up with large rocks and wonderful snorkeling. The water is exceptionally clear and there is a lot of fish and critter life among and around the rocks. There is usually not much surge in the spring &... More

Staying at Guavaberry Villas which has its own private section of this beach. It is secluded and beautiful. It sits on the edge of the baths with the same boulders, clear waters, and soft sandy shores. Fun and easy going snorkeling area for all ages. Palm trees for shade and nice spots for a picnic.

If you go no where else on Virgin Gorda to snorkel make this stop. It was far superior to the Baths. Very private, a lot of places to set down your gear or have a picnic. The snorkeling was truly amazing. We saw tarpon, lion fish, barracuda and amazing reefs.

Spring Bay doesn't have the allure of the boulder caves of the Baths, but the beach is just as nice and there are still plenty of interesting boulder formations to explore. The snorkeling is just as good as the Baths. There are generally a lot fewer people at Spring Bay than the Baths, making it an excellent alternative if you... More

Adjacent to The Baths and accessible by walking, Spring Bay is perfect for snorkeling without the crowds but with the same awesome fish and underwater views. Huge boulders the sizes of homes surround the bay and you are often there alone. We went early in the morning and the sunlight dappling through the water was breathtaking. Don't miss this stop... A favorite beach for the soft sand and big boulders! Also nice to trek to the right over the boulders and follow trails to the next two beaches Little Trunk and Valley Trunk...for even more seclusion and snorkel options
