This beach has changed a lot since we last came. The coral has been damages so the beach is more challenging to swim in, harder to enter and exit the water.

Came here in a private taxi from a cruise ship (very difficult to get to) and roads were not brilliant. VERY HILLY and the descent down to the beach is quite steep.TWO beach ( so called) bars -as usual VERY friendly people and quite a good choice of beers and snacks for such a remote beach.Sand very deep in parts-and water sometimes quite rough (no good for kids).But let’s not get carried away.... there are no sunbeds or “rest rooms” and you are very isolated at this cove. NICE but... people don’t get carried away in yiur reviews just because it’s the Caribbean .…

Visited here to try the snorkelling. The snorkelling was not really worth the trip, it is recovering from Irma, but not masses of coral or fish to currently see. Decided to rent a sunbed and chill for the day. Beach was quiet, beautiful with 2 low key (i.e. not pumping out music) bars. Despite being there when a cruise ship was in, it was not busy with the only cruise shippers arriving via taxi (and I think only 2 small groups were from the cruise ship). The road to the cove is not tarmacadam and bumpy but accessible via a normal 2 wheel drive. It was not busy so you can drive at your own pace. Worth a trip even if the snorkeling was not that good.
