A must see!

This wall is AMAZING.... painting that would normally cost 4 to 5 figures at least are made for us all to enjoy. And if you think it stops by the wall then you have'nt seen the inside of the hotel. It's like walking through an artgallery but being surprised where you find the pieces! A must see!

Of interest, but really a drive by or walk by
Jan 2020
We stayed across from the Wall in Nettle Bay, so it was easy for us to walk across the street to view the Wall. If driving in this direction, on the French side going to and from Marigot then by all means stop and look. I'm not sure I'd list is as a destination though more of a drive by. It is beautifully executed with some lovely art work and definitely enlivens the long wall.

Wonderful city art

I love it! It gives energy to the neighbourhood, it’s lovely to see some art in the urban landscape, it decorates and makes you feel in a living museum. Cities should present more free spaces available for artists. And remember that beauty and art are therapeutic. Beauty can save the world

Fantastic initiative

This is a great initiative to show the resilience of the island after hurricane Irma. Some exceptionally talented artists have come together to show strength and community.

Absolutely must visit when on the island.

BEAUTIFUL!!
Dec 2019
I've visited St Martin 7 times over the past 4 years as it is by far my favorite island in the Caribbean. I was so saddened to see the damage Irma brought to the island and the local inhabitants. Upon returning last week, this wall inspired me! It is a testament to the resolve of human beings and our ability to make beautiful art in the face of adversity!!

Wall of Art - St Martin
Mar 2019 • Friends
I’ve been coming to St Martin for years (before and after hurricane Irma) and everything about this island is magic. From the beaches to its people, a more beautiful island can’t be found!
The Wall of Art was built partially to show the people’s strength and endurance after the tragedy of Irma but also to give locals and visitors a sense of hope and to feel as though you are truly part of this magical place.
The Homage Hotel (formally Mercure) and its staff helped to organize this amazing art installation and it’s such a lovely part of the experience as you travel from one end of the island to the other.
It’s an incredible piece of art but more importantly it symbolizes the island mentally of community and support!
A must see!!!!

Art and heart!

Lovely to see this wonderful art work pop up in this wonderful hotel... We always stay at The Homage (formerly Mercure) when we visit the friendly island for SXM Festival - it’s our favorite place to stay.

As with most of the island, the hotel was damaged very severely by hurricane Irma. It’s wonderful to see the place thriving again - and also worth noting that the family who run the hotel have been very involved with recovery efforts and post Irma charitable causes all over Saint Martin / Sint Maarten.

Can’t wait to return for SXM festival in March 2020 and see all of this wonderful new artwork for real.
