Such a gorgeous view!
Feb 2021
The walk is a short 20 minutes if you drive up to the top. The view is very worth it. You can see the Orient bay area and Baie nettle area too.

A rare true gem
Oct 2020
Absolutely wonderful combination of old world charm & stylish chic retreat into the more undiscovered part of St Martin. The amazing views combined with outstanding accommodations, make this into a ‘do not miss’ place: even if you are from here. Tess & Hugh are those rare hosts who make you feel like something in between family and long lost, ever so welcome, friends. Attention to detail, service, and true love for their ‘metier’ has put Paradise Peak on our list of those very few places we will revisit.

Nice hike/view
Jan 2020
My wife and I did the hike up to Pic Paradise from Loterie farm in January of 2020. For starters... I would absolutely NOT drive up there or leave a vehicle unattended at the top. It's isolated and there are too many reports of car break-ins to ignore. Instead... get off your dead backside and do the hike from Loterie Farm. The farm is a great place to visit on its own (gorgeous pool, restaurant/bar, ziplines etc.) and a safe place to park to make the hike to the summit. For $5 per person they loaned us a hiking staff and gave us a map and we had a hassle-free hiking experience. We ended up making the hike with another traveler and had absolutely no problems as a group of 3. It was a moderately strenuous hike with a good climb and some easy rock scrambles... and it was a great way to spend a windy day on the island (too windy for the beach). Be sensible... go with a group or a few other hikers, don't take any cash or valuables, and you'll have a fun time. I wouldn't go at dusk or solo... but with basic precautions it's more than doable.

Nice hike with a view
Dec 2019 • Family
Pic Paradis offers decent views and an opportunity for a nice hike to break from beach activities. The hike is moderately strenuous but not long. You hike mostly in the forest and there are only couple spots with a view. We parked at Loterie farm as the hike starts there, it is well marked. There is a decent view on top towards French Quarters. You have to go a bit down from the antennas to get to the view spot, there is a sign.

What a view!
Dec 2019
We stayed at the Oyster Bay Beach Resort and could see our resort from the peak. We took an hour hike from Loterie Farm to get there. It was great! Bring water and a camera.

Hike from Loterie Farm to Pic Paradis
Oct 2019 • Couples
We parked at Loterie and paid the $5. The route we followed was approx 2.5 mile lollipop with an overall elevation gain of about 1100 feet...and definitely rated as strenuous. Without a doubt you need proper footwear and plenty of water.

See attached map. We started at base camp and followed the trail clockwise to the “Spring”. This is the easiest stretch. Keep your eyes looking upward for monkeys. We saw one! From the Spring, turn right and follow a series of switchbacks, some of which are quite steep, until you reach Chewbacca Rock. That is the hardest part of the hike (but also fun if you like a little rock scrambling). Take a rest and enjoy the view. Then head for the peak (left on the map). This is a steady incline with rocky footing in some areas. It’s not as difficult as the switchbacks, but still takes effort. When you reach the paved road, go left and then the trail resumes on your right. You’ll reach an intersection with some dirt roads. At that point, turn right to the viewpoint and money shot. For the return trip, head back to Chewbacca Rock, but then bear left and go clockwise around and back to basic camp.

Pic Paradis worth it
Oct 2019
We had a small car and had to park part way up. It was very hard terrain, but worth the effort. We visited early in the AM on a weekday and saw only 2 other people up there.

Couldn't get there
Sep 2019
It's probably beautiful, but our rental car would not make it - too steep and rugged. There were some pretty views on the way up to the point we had to turn around. I would recommend this only if you have a 4WD/offroad type vehicle.

Great hike and beautiful views.
Aug 2019
Great hike! I did the hike from Loterie Farm so I paid 5 euros and got a map. You don't really need the map but the hike is better from the loterie farm entrance then just on the road. It's quite challenging especially on the hot day but it's good exercises and you get to see the whole island from the top.
Lot's of lizards and ants on the way but haven't seen any monkeys.

Beuatiful!
Jul 2019
We were able to drive a majority of the way up. it is very steep so make sure your car can handle it! Gorgeous view and awesome hike! about 30 minutes hike from an un marked parking area. If you were to hike from the bottom where Lotire farms is it might take a few hours.
