We enjoyed snorkeling from the shore near the Hummingbird hotel. It is easy access to an area with very interesting tube and barrel sponges. The water was clear. It is an easy swim to the cleft in the rock with a bat cave We saw several schools of small fish and a hawksbill turtle.

Area is roped off and protected from all of the boats bringing people in and out of the area (we were at Sugar Beach). Enjoyed floating around at the base of the Piton and saw some interesting fish and some larger schools. It's not Hawaii, but lovely nonetheless. We were able to take a free shuttle from our resort (Stonefield)... More

This is certainly a lovely part of the world. We went on a bus tour to see it then on a catamaran. Well worth a visit to the west coast.

This spot likely has the best snorkeling on the island. However for those used to Hawaii I wouldn't consider St Lucia a snorkel destination. The corals and fish were different but the fish were tiny and that applied to both places we went; more like a fish nursery than what I'm used to in Hawaii. There is an easy entry... More

We went snorkeling here and there are fish but it is not as colorful as your would expect. The restaurant to the left of the dock is good. You can stay on the beach and driver here yourself. It is at the jade man place.

We visited the management area next to Sugar Beach home a a five star resort that took meticulous care of the beach and management area. The waters were calm and fantastic for snorkeling. We saw many species of fish and many schools of fish. Many tours visit the dock at Sugar Beach between the Pitons each day including the tour... More

If you made it this far do not miss the tremendous beauty St. Lucia's land and water have to offer. Great snorkeling and beaches. Highly recommend snorkeling with a PFD, currents can become tiring depending on the location.

We arrived at Sugar Beach by water taxi. The beach is not large but there were chairs set up. The group rushed right into the water, to explore & snorkel. The Marine Preserve had lots of different fish & marine life. We saw anemones and stuff, on the sea bottom. The Pitons and scenery were fantastic and the snorkeling excellent.... More

Traveled fro Castries by boat to this area with Captain Mango 758-718-2422. Nice boat, very fast. This is the premiere scenic area in St Lucia. Our Captain called a qualified guide so we could hike the rainforest there. Great trip!
