If your lucky enough to go Saint Lucia the Castries market is definitely worth a visit. They sell absolutely everything there, it so entertaining and vibrant and full of colour (very busy & very warm though) If I return I’d would certainly visit the market...More

What can I say? It’s a craft market full of stalls with locals selling the likes of fridge magnets, ornaments, pictures, local sauces and herbs etc. All the vendors are really friendly and while they’re all trying to get you to buy from them, they’re...More

The trinkets, T-shirts and souvenirs are priced competitively compared to the shops in Rodney Bay. You will see the same product over and over, so you do have some bargaining power. Just watch that the vendors give you everything you purchased as they can sometimes...More

Lots of schlock - don't hesitate to barter. Don't plan to stay more than 2 hours. You'll see the same things over and over in each vendor's area. Bring cash.

This is an open-air market where many locals purchase fruits and vegetables. There are a number of souvenir shops selling all the same things; usually useless tourist stuff. My husband and I are American, and were constantly approached by taxi drivers wanting to drive us....More

Whiled away 30 minutes whilst sheltering from a rain shower. Vast array of goods on sale. Very interesting seeing the locals buying the unusual fruit and vegetables on offer. The fish section of the market was particularly enthralling and the fishermen/vendors were more than happy...More

A good place to buy souvenirs, local crafts, food, meat, fresh vegetables and fruits. Lots of stalls sell the same things. Its not far from the cruise terminal. A very good experience looking around the stalls and talking to shop owners who were very polite...More

Having read mostly positive reviews, I was highly disappointed with the Castries Market. Every booth has essentially the same knick-knacks and souvenirs as the last one. I was expecting a lot of variety -- a booth focused on some kind of art, another on some...More

This open air market is just a quick walk from the small overcrowded port shopping and SO worth the walk. Be careful as there is no true walkway and you are beside a busy street. The market has lots of booths with local artists. We...More

We had a coffee here in the market at Montes place with a harbour view. The tables and chairs were concrete and would not be moved in a hurry, but we had a good cup of hot tasty coffee at a very reasonable price of...More

It appears that there are at least two craft markets, both within 2-3 blocks of the cruise ship landings. On foot, the first is a city block of tasteful, single-story stuccoed, tile-roofed structures housing vendors--we did... More
