Coming from a cruise ship, we had some trouble finding a company to take us up but then found Spencer Ambrose Tours (great company but only reviewing the hike itself here). Read reviews saying it was easy (our guide did it in slide on flipflops) and also that it was impossible (he says about 80% of the people he takes... More

Would definitely recommend doing the trek up the Pitons. It is 2 hours up and 2 hours down and not an easy trail but what an experience! You have a guide in front and behind you to ensure you are looked after and the views over the island are spectacular. Unfortunately the day we went it rained and you couldn't... More

I didn't climb them, but boy they would be an awesome workout if one were trained to climb. They pretty much go straight up. It's hot and muggy so don't attempt unless you're in excellent shape for the task. They sure are pretty to look at and make for great travel pics.

My wife and I drove to Soufriere from Rodney Bay. This is not a drive for the faint of heart by the way. However, once we got close enough to get great views if the Pitons we were glad that we did. Words can't even do the majestic beauty of these two mountainous peaks any justice. All I can say... More

Majestic and the first view from above when arriving in St Lucia. Pure and untouched. Great flora and fauna.

Soufriere is a beautiful fishing village. We stopped there and had some of their island coffee at a cafe near the waterfront. The Pitons are very majestic but the drive is a lot of up and down with switchbacks. Not easy for those who get car sick. Well worth getting a feel for the island.

As part of our stay at Sandals, a catamaran cruise to the base of the Pitons was part of the package. We had a wonderful time. Our party of 12 close friends snorkeled then danced the day away. The Pitons, the sunset, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
