What makes this beach most attractive is that it is within a very easy walk of the center of Gustavia. It is a medium to small sized beach covered with small shells (and sand). There are nice 'cliffs' on either side, which adds to the scenic aspect of the beach. That said, it felt less than spectacular and we did... More

A short walk from Gustavia and the our cruise ship drop off, this was an easy trip to the beach for those who are just in for a quick visit. I'd been concerned about the shells being hard on the feet but it is not. Easy snorkelling right off shore too.

We took a day trip from St Martin and didn't want to rent a car so we walk to Shell Beach, about 20 minutes from the ferry. First, there are lots of shells but vew varietes and very small. The little bay is cute with clear water not rough but no shallow spots. Rental chairs are 50 euros apiece which... More

I first discovered this gem in 2014! I was taken a back by ALL the shells!! Came back in 2015 and was disappointed not many shells. Came back again and still not many shells. But still I LOVE this little beach! It's a must visit! I was worried about the parking but it wasn't an issue at all. Make it... More

Took a day trip to St. Bart's from St Maarten. After browsing the shops and being relieved of some of our hard earn money we decided to head to Shell Beach. By the time we walked over there we were more famished than anything else so we decided to eat at the restaurant there. I saw that one reviewer said... More

We did the short 10 minute walk to the beach which was nice enough seeing some of the houses close to town. You walk past the church, school etc so an interesting walk. The beach was not crowded. There are no facilities so be prepared. The restaurant looks busy and has beach chairs available the shells were unremarkable but it... More

We went to Shell Beach for the day. Like all days in St. Barth's. It was a rosé fueled day so details are tough to recall! Incredibly beautiful setting and amazing little enclave. We rented lounges from the restaurant (see review) so we did it up first rate. The lounges are not inexpensive and there are a limited number of... More

Giving the positive reviews, we decided in our first visit to St. Barths to visit Shell Beach. Shell Beach is small and the day we went, the water was rough with lots of waves. The water can be calm depending on wind and weather conditions. There is also a drop from the beach to the shoreline the day we were... More
