They have a short film which is worth watching. Lots of video from the volcano eruptions, and displays of how the volcano was created.

Great view of the volcano. We watched a 25 min home video of the history of Plymouth and the build up to the eruption. You can view photos and volcanic rocks. This would be a great place for anyone interested in volcano-logy

You get a good view of the volcano here. The twenty minute movie about the eruptions is well worth the trip up thehill. There is a small souvenir shop. They sell an excellent book of photos of the volcano which makes a great souvenir.

If you are not familiar with the various eruptions that has buried the capital city of Plymouth then this is an important first stop. The video is about 25 minutes and gives one good idea on the forces that destroyed Plymouth.

The observatory has a short video which is well done and allows you to see the volcano erupting over the 10 or more years it erupted. It shows before and after pictures and explains what is happening. It is a must see.
