This is a terrific museum, with lots of information about the pre-European inhabitants. Very well curated, and all information is in English and Spanish as well as French. We expected to spend about 30 minutes, but stayed well over an hour.

Martinique has lots to offer in terms of history - this is a great place for people visiting various museums who want to learn about the history of the museum. Be warned, it's quite small!

It was a very interesting visit. Well kept and great detail. My only complaint that there should be more English translations on some of the exhibits. I would have gained more from the experience if I was more fluent in French.

It is a little museum that tells the history of Martinique in generell and opens up the view to the other Caribbean islands. In various display cabinets and on maps the daily family life, hunting and fishing, crafting and tribal activities are shown. It is...More

Martinique is a beautiful Caribbean island. It's independent now. It has the French flavor. Brush up on your FRENCH.This is the language here. Beautiful shops, restaurants, beaches. and the people. The museum in Fort -de -France is educational and historic.
