My family of four just returned from a week in Vieques, PR. We snorkeled every day while on the island. Green Beach (Punta Arenas) is a great spot to begin learning to snorkel. It is a rough muddy road to get there but a beautiful...More

Untouched beach, if you are looking to relax and enjoy a tranquil water this is the place. Pack food and drinks, no need for an umbrella, plenty of trees for shade. A hidden gem!

Vieques has a number of beaches to choose from, but Green Beach has been our favorite since 2004. You will need a Jeep to get to most of the beaches including this one. Please do not leave anything valuable in the Jeep - there is...More

Vieques has no shortage of great beaches, and Green Beach is no exception. Great for lazing on the beach and swimming. Snorkeling is good, but the biting flies will tear you up, even with bug repellent.

Punta Arenas or Green Beach is at the western most end of the island. It's a bit of a drive over some rough roads but definitely worth the trip. SUV'S no problem, may be difficult with a low vehicle/car. Take Route 200 past Mosquito Pier...More

Nice beach, and easy acess for snorkeling. Snorkle to the right for Turtles in the grass and left over the reef for rays, and an array of tropical fish including cuttle fish, and cool trunk fish. It is a 15 or 20 minute drive, but...More

After spending a week on Vieques, snorkeling all the spots, our whole family agreed Punta Arenas (Green Beach) is the best. The water was calm, so it made for easy access for our children. We saw tons of tropical fish, a sea turtle, conch, puffer...More

We love snorkeling here and always see a great variety of sea life. Head out straight from the beach then turn left toward the rocks and go along the rocks until you get to the next beach.
