They aren't as pretty as before but they carry history. Yes, people still live there. It's a good area to pass by car if you want to see the areas that aren't polished for tourist.

We drove around to look at the architecture of the buildings and came upon this area with the row s of red houses. They looked much nicer than some of the other houses nearby. The variety of houses in the area was very interesting.
