TA said this was open at 9 am. Got there at 9:45. Sign for hours of operation said 10 am to 4:30 pm. Waited until 10:30 and no one showed up to open the place. Looked nice from the outside, but we wanted to see the inside.

If you are interested in the history of Ponce, then it's a great stop on your tour. The museum is housed in a beautiful building (air-conditioned). It is walking distance from the main plaza and hotels in the town center. The museum has several different galleries where you can learn about varying topics such as: topography, politics, education, health, etc.... More

I really enjoy that place. I can show the history of my town to my family from USA. It's great for them and enjoy the family trip in Ponce all together.

The museum is exactly that, the history of Ponce. If you are interested in learning about the history of the city, this is a great place to visit. It only takes less than an hour, but have interesting facts about how the city of Ponce was formed and its influence in the Puerto Rican politics and economy.

The museum is very simple but it is worth going to see the amazing old building it is housed in! Apparently it was built to be a doctors office and home. Incredible woodwork, stain glass windows and tile work.

The museum is very cool! It covers the entire history of Ponce, which is a lot because it was founded in 1692. The staff is very friendly. The museum is only in Spanish, but enjoyable for the non-Spanish speaker. It would be nice if there were translations available. It's free, so at least stop by and admire the beautiful building... A few rooms. One has topographical maps of the area, some stuff about an aqueduct, and another has a photo of the aftermath of an earthquake. Very obscure stuff and not enlightening about the history of Ponce. Free.
