This little bar on the end of La Guancha made the best piña colada on the island! The boardwalk was nice too. We saw iguanas and pelicans. Very pretty place.

Board walk open in the evening gets very busy, has many restaurants, inexpensive and sit down, as well as vendors. Bathrooms are overcrowded but abundant. Music plays various spots throughout the boardwalk. In the morning, there is a beautiful view and it is completely empty besides the anchored sail boats.

We have been here twice and loved it. Beautiful views and boardwalk with snacks and drinks. You can also climb the lighthouse for free for a good overlook. Nice for a sunset stroll if you are in the neighborhood.

Our group went for the local food on a Friday night. While the views of the boats and harbor were excellent we found the rest of the venue over rated. We went in with high expectations because of what we had read on Trip Advisor and Yelp. Each kiosk had competing music blaring and the food took 40 minutes to... More

La Guancha is on the southern part of Ponce, Puerto Rico. It is next to Ponce Beach. It is broadwalk next to the lagoon. It reminds me of South Side Seaport in New York but with more little boats. I was there on a Saturday so it was alive with latin music and locals. There were little restaurants and bars... More

Went with our youth group while in Ponce for a mission trip. Very nice open place, wide boardwalk and lots of places to eat, a few small vendors dotted the place. It has some of the best views of the ocean you will see.

We expected the spectacular sunset, but not the high quality of the food, especially at kiosks 18 (killer mojitos), #17 (octopus empanaditas) and #15 (the freshest shrimp salad.) On weekends, there's live salsa at the bandstand.

This place you can drink, eat, feed the fish, enjoy the sunset, buy cigars, souvenir, watch the boat sail by, or put your feet in the beach. Recommend it on weekends. It does get crowded at night.

Visited the area about three weeks ago. Since my last visit the place had really changed but in a good way. Plenty of parking, easy access from the freeway and handicap ready. All the facilities were operating. Plenty of restaurants with many different choices in menus. Mostly seafood but also meats, pastas and even pizzas. Also local fried turnovers which... More
