This church is beautiful. Lots of ornate statues and very detailed. There is a statue of Jesus that looks so lifelike.

Is right in the middle of downtown. In the back is the old fire department. near the city hall of Ponce. And there are a few hotels around the "plaza las Delicias" where the cathedral is located. Great to visit with family.

the city's cathedral offers a few side chapels and a free look at the major religion. dominates the central square.
Came to Ponce with team effort and on the first night we walked around the square. As luck would have it, it was open and we saw a wedding take place. Very old and nice church, everyone was nice and lots of great photos taken.
I don't know much about churches history, but it is a beautiful building you can see just walking through the city. It is also beautiful inside.
Missed seeing the interior by 10 minutes (it closes at 1pm) but I can suggest you go in the morning and if you can't, do walk around the outside of the Cathedral.
