Huge long wall

The wall separates the fort from the city. Great views. Can see lots of iguanas nearby. Lots of cars coming by so be careful to stay near the wall.

Surrended by a huge wall and the sea in the other side, calm, peaceful, great sunsets, great for couples.

Enjoy a nice walk along the city walls that overlook the sea. It is very pretty at sunset, and there are often many stray cats.

A nice long walk at the bottom of the city walls, with good views over the little island across the bay. Best just before sunset, when it's cooler and you can get a spectacular show of pink clouds. But the hundreds of cats living here make some parts of the walk very, very smelly. Not advised for delicate nostrils!

At first La Muralla seemed to represent a time of aggression in Puerto Rico's history. But when leaving El Morro we ventured along the top edge past the old cemetery and noticed how peaceful the area was, full of kids flying kites and great views ... and if you slide into one of the embrasures (hole for a cannon) and... This was by far our most favorite walk in Old San Juan. The breeze from the sea, the views of the old high walls, the birds, and the tropical vegetation made it really memorable. I recommend a morning walk to avoid the crowds.

Enjoyed following the city walls along the water on the way to the fort. They are massive and striking with the water in the background.

Enjoy as part of walking tour in Old San Juan. Close to San Juan Gate. We scratched our name in the wall. Literally means the mural but no mural. Just some old graffitti and bullet and cannon ball holes. Still enjoyable if you are interested in history

How could you visit Old San Juan and not walk by this area where hundreds of years ago, the Princes of Spain used to take a walk every evening during sunset!!!
