This private island rents a third of its land to el Conquistador Resort, although its very "touristy" yo can find yourself in paradise just a boat trip away!!

The beach is too rocky and too much seaweed. If you really want a spectacular experience, take the take to culebra, that island is mind blowing.

Fun, fun, fun. Clear blue waters, fabulous local seafood, and rum, rum, rum. Private, except for chickens living there for insect control. Beach fun, white sand, and adult privacy. Gotta go spend the day. Caught a tuna boat excursion guided by locals. Took our catches to shore and filleted them for us. OMG. Yellowfin is fabulous. People are so willing to please.

This island was part of our hotel stay at Las Casitas Village at el Conquistador. Free ferry was offered that ran every hour or so (the other boat was broken down). This is a great beach but be aware that everything here is expansive since all the shops are run by the hotel. Nice place to chill for a day... More

Full service island getaway. A short 30 min. ferry ride from the El Conquistador Hotel (Hilton) and you are there. Towels and beach chairs are available. Beach is shallow and safe for children. Food and drink are available for purchase. YOU ARE NOIT ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN. Boats run on the hour or 1/2 half depending on the hotel... More

So worth renting a Catamaran and going to some of these small islands for the day. Beautiful beach and clean and warm water!

Beach is really nice yet there so many other things to do. You can walk up the hill for a better view of the beautiful island and different shades of blue of the ocean . This is a good tip when you get off the ferry go the right. The breeze coming off the ocean from the South is great... More

Although Palomino Island in itself is a beautiful place, the island pictured here is NOT Palomino Island. It is actually called Isleta Marina. The two buildings on that island are private condos. I know this for a fact because my husband and I own a condo there. Palomino Island is more to the far left.....

Very nice beach with lots of chairs. The water was warm and pretty calm. Great paths to take to the top of the hill and get great views from the various lookouts. The restaurant/bar had reasonable prices compared to the resort. Two boats going back and forth all day.
