The main beach area has calm and warm water. They had you a towel when you get off the ferry. If you go to the beach on the left (where boats may dock), you have a long beach to walk along (but no chairs over here). The snorkeling was not as good as I had hoped. You had to go out... More

This is place is a wonderland. We had so much fun here. There is so much to do. Horse back riding, putt putt golf, water sports, shopping all on this beautiful private island!

We stayed at the El Conquistador because we read great reviews for this place. It definitely was worth it in my opinion! We were originally going to stay in San Juan and hang out at the beaches there, after spending a day there and seeing how chaotic the beaches were, I was very grateful for Palomino Island. To get there... More

Really enjoyed visiting this place. The water was beautiful and so clear! There was plenty of space to relax so there is not people on top of people.

We stayed at Las Casitas so took the ferry over. Worth spending a day or half day there, but can't imagine visiting multiple days. My kids ages range from 10 to 16, and they like BIG waves for skim boarding and boogie boarding. This beach is very calm, and relaxing (which I LOVE), but they found to be a little... More

Long day, early start to make the ferry but worth the effort. Beautiful white sand and unspoiled ambiance. Off the beach snorkelling, lovely food and drinks kiosks and easy access to all. Take a the time to make this trip, a day well spent.

This is a little bit of heaven in earth. If you are staying at El Conquistador hotel getting to this little cay is very convenient. Once you there you will see a place like no other. The water is crystal clear and the facilities are very well maintained. Bring your snorkeling equipment you don't want to miss the beautiful marine... More

The title says it all. This place is amazing and a solid hidden gem. Beware that part of the island is rented out to various boat companies so staying at the El Conquistador Resort and Spa is not the only way to visit here. That makes the "private island" label somewhat disappointing.

Palomino Island is one of the best places I've been in the world. It's a mix of natural beauty with amenities. There's plenty of shade from the palm trees. There was never an issue finding chase lounges. There is a very natural beach area with tide pools and lots of coral washed onto the beach, I found this area great... More

This is the private beach at El Conquistador. Its just a short ferry ride away from the resort which adds to the experience. The island had plenty of beach chairs available. The amenities were perfect for a beach day. They had gift shops, snack bars, lawn games... so much to do.
