Whenever the government is not in session you can call ahead and book a tour of the Palacio. The building is lovely, don't miss the main staircase, and the gardens are gorgeous with a beautiful view of la isla de las cabras.

Right in the middle of Old San Juan , at the end of Fortaleza street , with very ornate gates and lots of security . If you are lucky you can tour some of it by going into a building on the left side of...More

I loved it. We took a tour of the fortaleza, & they took us to see the inside. It's simply breathtaking. So worth seeing. I loved the history. They don't do inside tours everyday, we were told it depends on the Governor's schedule.

It is very beautiful to see and the street itself is great to take a photo, however I literally only stayed there for 5 minutes and then I continued my walk. If you just want to stoll around then old san juan is a great...More

An interesting sight to see while visiting Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tours are available, but limited. I would at the very least, be sure to walk by to see the architecture.

Very interesting place, but it was election year, too much chages and very restricted. If you go along with a tour group or school group it will be a better experience.

We did not go on a tour because the next tour in English was several hours later. Find out when the free tours are before you go.

Great place to visit for free. If you can squeeze in the visit, it's worth it. Not open all of the time

What a great tour (in English) (~30 min) with great views of the bay and a walk through the beautiful gardens. Because it is the Governor's residence one only sees the exterior plus the chapel and the "keep". No charge, but times are limited and...More

We just went to the office and asked when was the next scheduled tour and then we showed up at the scheduled time. If you are facing the mansion, the office is on the left hand side of the street and it's a few buildings... More
