Everyone was telling us to go to Pinones Beach and it was a nice surprise with the natural breakwater and the ultra clear water. We weren't there very long when it started to rain, so we ran to the one food shack that was open - Sonia's (El Cacique Del Terraplen de Sonia) and it might not be much to... More

I had heard so much hype about Pinones and I finally got to go last night. The atmosphere was nice with music and the awesome smell of food. Pinchos is like the Puerto Rican version of Satay. It's also bigger portions and served with a bbq sauce. This is a must try $3 a stick snack and you have the... More

We parked the car in Boca de Cangrejos and what should have been an awesome afternoon started looking bleak. The place was trashed beyond belief, and the folks hanging around were a bunch of obnoxious drunks listening to loud music. We made our way to the boardwalk which was full of blight and loiterers checking out people. The views are... More

Caution! My husband and I biked this trail and, if you overlook the garbage and broken glass everywhere, the ocean views are absolutely fabulous. The paved path is nice, mostly flat, and away from much of the automobile traffic. HOWEVER - BE ADVISED! On the boardwalk portion of the trail we were attacked by two feral dogs from the forest.... If your looking for beautiful beaches and local food this is the place! We arrived on a cruise ship for the day and was picked up by Francisco of Puerto Rico Shuttle Inc. Ph.787-549-6058 or visit the web site. He called me and met us at the port where the ships pull in. We had a party of 17 including... More

My favorite place to get fried fish and huge tostones! Love the atmosphere and food! Right by the beach, little kiosks, bungalows, small outdoor eateries with tasty local foods.

If you haven't been to Pinones, you haven't lived yet! From the street food to the locals, this place is the best ever! Try Puerta Del Mar and La Terreza, they are two great restaurants there. Also, they have a tour by scooter with Puerto Rico Electric Tours. I went to Pinones for the amazing Street food and ended up... More

I wish I had come here when I first got to PR because I would've gone back a few times. Its the kind of place you see on one of those food travel shows. Try all the fried foods, take a,walk, drive to the beach.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Isla Verde and checked out a couple of their bikes. We took a left out of the driveway and rode about 20 minutes on a bike path. We saw beautiful beaches and the reached Piñones. The waves hit a rock ledge which provides a safe, calm and shallow area for children to swim. Lots... More

Beautiful secluded beaches for sun bathing, photography, and sampling local kiosk food. The water is choppy though and intense for inexperienced or young swimmers. Super fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
