The beach was difficult to find. There are no signs and it is down an absolutely horrible road that we almost didn't make it down! Other people said there's a shortcut to walk down but I don't know where that is. There was someone at the beach asking for a donation which we gladly gave. There are several vendor booths... More

Winnifred Beach is a really nice, small beach a bit away from the main road, which makes it super peaceful. There is no entry fee, but you can contribute. The approach is a bit rough, but once you're there you can enjoy and relax. There are few little restaurants to grab a food.

I visited Winifred Beach in late June after a trip to Frenchman's Cove. This place is a completely different experience from Frenchman's Cove. There is a crazy drive down a tight road to get to the beach. The beach is area is packed with locals hanging out, enjoying food, and listening to music. There are plenty places to buy food... More

winifred beach is absolutely beautiful: white sands, turquoise seas, lush vegetation. i went after some heavy rains and a clean up was needed, but even still, it was a fantastic place to spend the day. my only word of caution would be to be careful of doreen who sells food at the end of the beach (near the spring). she... The water is clear, blue and beautiful. A very relaxing place and it is not crowded which is a bonus. Great place to go with friends or/and family.

My wife and I visited this beach the day after Frenchman's cove. We much prefer this local beach, as there is no cover charge and the local community members can enjoy it. Some nice locals may try to sell you things, but they ware all very nice [and understanding that we had no cash].

Winnifred is a really beautiful beach one of the best in Portland. Getting to the beach however is quite a challenge as the road leading to the beach is horrific. If you don't have an SUV don't attempt the drive. Outside of this the experience was great. There were vendors on the beach but not at all pushy. It is... More

The water was beautiful and warm. Clear u could see your feet but a bit rocky. Had a bite to eat. U can also do horse riding or buy souvenirs from the vendors. Ok for families.

This is the only public beach in the area, and you're not supposed to pay any enterance-fee. The locals will try to make you pay a "donation" anyway, which I happily did to contribute to a clean beach. It is a crecent-shaped beach with white sand, and shacks that sells local food and beverages. The water is quite calm, good... More

This is a gorgeous beach! Even has a freshwater pond near it to rinse off! Snorkeling is fantastic and the food is wonderful, as well. Plan to spend a day here!
