We stayed right next to Boston Beach at the Great Huts resort. There is either a private access to the Boston Bay from within Great Huts or you can just walk around and enter the beach from the road. On windy days, you can see some local surfers and the crashing waves do provide for some nice pictures. There are... More

Friendly people, best view in Portland, surf lessons, and amazing smoothies in Boston jerk center that are good price. I really recommend the smoothie shop right by great Huts, made to order smoothies for 300J I always make this place a stop. There's always fresh fruit like papaya, watermelon, mangoes. Let's just say the beach wouldn't be complete without a... More

This was a small beach - some natural debris by the edge of the water and quite wavy, so was not tempted to swim. Was fun to watch the surfers. Being one of few groups of tourists, we were hassled quite badly by vendors. Was not able to relax as much as one would hope on a beach! Got fish,... More

The black is a small local beach you won't miss much if you skip it. Boston is also the home of Jerk and they are dotted on the main road. They will have guys on the street trying to get you to come to thier Jerk Hut generally they will have Jerk chicken, pork, lobster and some root veg. Just... More

We particularly enjoyed this beach for it usually displays a down-to-earth combination of foreign tourists and Jamaicans, with no pretensions of any sort. The music is LOUD, but if you like reggae in all its forms you won't be disappointed. Beware with the Jerk Chicken seller there: prices vary greatly according to the way you are able to impose yourself... More

Romance novelists may have had this scenic beach setting in mind for their books. Boston Beach picturesque setting is like something straight out of a romance novel. You know the classic scene of a man and woman on a moonlight night out for a romantic stroll while the waves smashes up against the rocks in the background. In addition to... More

Boston beach is like having a bubble bath with my dad. As in, the water is really warm, full of rubber ducks and everyone is naked.

Boston Bay Beach is really just a local beach, nothing spectacular. Admission is free. It seems to be a good spot to surf and there are guys willing to rent surfboards and give lessons. It's great for swimming once the weather is good but be careful as it can get really choppy at times. There are Jerk shops and bathrooms/changing... More

This is really a beach famous for the local jerk food stands. The beach itself is a small cove. Not bad for snorkelling. Or catching a quick wave. You would need your own board. Good for beginniers. Although there was a life guards chair- I didn't see a guard the whole time we were there. Apart from a few tourists... More

boston beach is really pretty: turquoise sea, white sands, rocks and lush vegetation. if you like to surf, then this is a popular spot although it was flat when i visited. the beach isn't very long, but it's still well worth a visit. snorkelling, swimming, chilling. it also has loos and changing rooms if you need them. i paid JMD200...
